The Lead: Cam Laughlin (Natick, Mass./Portland Jr. Pirates (USPHL Premier)), Tommy Mahoney (Braintree, Mass. / Boston Bandits (EHL)) and  Matt Damelio (Rochester, N.Y. / Northwood (Prep)) each tallied two points to lead the Hounds to a 4-2 victory over Southern New Hampshire in an NE10 contest on Saturday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- With 1:37 left in the first Mahoney and Damelio set up Peter McDonagh (Latrobe, Pa. / Boston Jr. Bruins (USPHL Elite)) in the neutral zone to skate past two Penmen defensemen to score in the upper right corner off a back hand.

- The Hounds tallied two goals in the second to extend the lead to 3-0 when Damelio set up Brendan Philippon (Salem, N.H./ Philadelphia Flyers (USPHL)) at 8:22 and then senior Ryan Gomez (Wayne, N.J./ Washington Jr. Nationals (AJHL)) set up Laughlin with 2:19 left in the period.

- Just 5:33 into the third Laughlin found Mahoney in the slot on the power play to net the fourth and final Hound goal of the game.

- Southern New Hampshire tallied two unanswered goals by Brett Strawn and Artem Efimov Barakov to cut the deficit in half. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

- The Hounds out shot the Penmen 73 to 48 and went 1 for 6 on the power play.

- Nick Commesso (Marshfield, Mass./Walpole Express (AJHL)) made 46 saves in the win while Southern New Hampshire goaltender Ryan Slatky made 69 saves in the loss.
