THE BASICS:

- The Lead: Assumption led Saint Leo just 9-7 at the half before utilizing a dominant offense over the final 30 minutes to extend the Hounds lead and finish with a 21-12 victory on Friday evening to remain undefeated on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

- The Lions jumped out to a 3-2 lead over the first 7:44, before Amanda Burns (Billerica, Mass. / Billerica Memorial) scored her third goal of the game to tie it 3-3 with 22 minutes left. Kailyn Hart (Cohoes, N.Y. / Shaker) gave Assumption a 4-3 advantage, though two straight from Saint Leo made it 5-4 with 18 minutes remaining.

- Sarah Reilly (Fairfield, Conn. / Fairfield-Warde) scored three times over the next eight minutes as Assumption registered four straight overall and Caitlin Graves (Ashland, Mass. / Ashland) scored with 3:03 left to give the Hounds a 9-7 advantage into the half.

- In the second, the Lions closed the gap to 10-9 at 21:57, before Reilly jumpstarted a 3-0 spurt to take back control 13-9. Saint Leo responded with three consecutive goals to trim the deficit to just 13-12. Burns ended the run again and Assumption scored the final eight goals of the contest to finish with the nine-goal victory.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

- Assumption outshot the Lions 39-26 in the contest and won 18 of 35 draw controls. Kyra Goucher (Derry, N.H. / Pinkerton Academy) earned the victory in net, making six saves in the contest.

- Burns scored a season-high six goals with nine draw controls while Reilly added four goals, two assists and four caused turnovers. Hart added three goals and two helpers while Emily Spath (Franklin, Mass. / Franklin) registered a hat trick.

- Delaney Chrisco paced the Saint Leo offense with five goals while Sarah Pierson scored two. Rebecca Halley made 12 saves in 49 minutes before being pulled as she took the loss.
