NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Assumption University football team moves to 2-0 in Northeast-10 action this year, as the Greyhounds' defense shines in their 28-14 win against Southern Connecticut State University Saturday afternoon.
THE BASICS

Jake Cady tallied 239 yards of offense to lead Assumption, as the senior signal caller went 14-for-26 through the air for 178 yards and one touchdown while racking up 61 yards on the ground.
James Henderson paced the Greyhounds with 64 yards on the ground on ten carries, while
Raekwon Washington and
Berrell Neal scored rushing touchdowns.
Baley Collier was the top target for Cady, as Collier pulled down five receptions for 55 yards. Cameron Regan had the lone passing touchdown for Assumption, as he reeled in an eight-yard score.
Defensively,
Edward Allen had a team-high eight tackles, while
Joseph MacDougall and
Isaac Hadac recorded sacks. The Greyhounds forced four turnovers, as
Lorenzo Valencia,
Dion Kuinlan, and Hadac had interceptions, while
Joe Krauza forced a fumble. The Assumption defensive backs had eight pass breakups, with
Isaiah Huff and
Roderick Boyd accounting for five.
