WORCESTER, Mass. – Franklin Pierce scores three third-period goals as the Assumption University men's ice hockey team falls in their home opener against the Ravens at the Worcester Ice Center, Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Franklin Pierce got the scoring started, as Jason Ladzinski would put in the rebounds off the initial shot from Trevor Lawler at the 9:53 marker of the first period.
After a scoreless second period, Assumption tied the game in the early portion of the third. Ryan Decker found the back of the net, with
Sean O'Connell and
Mike D'Ambrosio picking up the assist. Five minutes later, the Ravens regained the lead as Ryan Bailey recorded his first goal of the year. FPU tacked on two more scores in the final two minutes as they capitalized on an empty Greyhounds' net.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Thomas McLarnon took the loss for the Hounds, despite recording 32 saves.
- Both sides fired 36 shots on goal, but the Greyhounds won 39-of-72 faceoffs.
- Franklin Pierce scored the lone powerplay goal, as they went 1-for-6, and Assumption went 0-for-7.
