Women's Soccer Falls to Adelphi

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Assumption University women's soccer team dropped their Northeast-10 Conference opener to Adelphi University Saturday afternoon.

THE BASICS

HOW IT HAPPENED
Adelphi started fast, as they would score three goals in the opening 30 minutes. Madison Apicella potted a pair, while Carly Issing made it 3-0 with her second score of the year.
 
Alexa Mihale opened the second half with her first goal of the year in the 62nd minute. Assumption got on the board in the 65th minute, as Haleigh Ward scored off the Haley Brown feed.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
  • Julia Walsh and Bella Provost combined to record three saves.
  • The Panthers outshot the Greyhounds 21-6 while also taking all seven corners.
