WORCESTER, Mass. – Led by a goal and an assist by
Lucy Malia, propels the No. 4 Assumption University field hockey team to a 3-2 win over No. 8 Bentley University Sunday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Assumption started the scoring in the second quarter, as
Lucy Malia scored on a penalty stroke in the 27
th minute.
Elle Murray opened up the second half scoring, as they scored off the Malia assist. Over a minute later, Bentley got on the board, as Katie Thies registered her third score of the year.
Right before the end of the third quarter, the Greyhounds regained a two-goal advantage.
Mia Salah would tip in a
Hannah Tepper blast from the top of the circle. The Falcons would draw within one as Lida Coco picked up her first goal of the season with 11:10 remaining in regulation.
The visitors had a late push, as they were awarded back-to-back corners in the final three seconds, but the Greyhounds' defense stood strong to hold on for the 3-2 final score.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Kylie Gargiulo recorded five saves for Assumption.
- The Falcons outshot the Greyhounds 13-9, while AU had five penalty corners compared to Bentley's four.
- Bentley leads the all-time series 46-14-1.
