WINCHENDON, Mass. – Twelve different skaters register a point as the Assumption University men's ice hockey team picked up a 6-3 win at Franklin Pierce Friday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Franklin Pierce was the first team to get on the board, as Trevor Lawler opened the scoring at 3:12 by registering a power-play goal. At 13:23,
Dara Conneely answered for the Greyhounds, as he found the back of the net on the man advantage. Lawler struck once more, as he gave the hosts a 2-1 advantage after 20 minutes and picked up his second power-play goal of the period.
Assumption opened up the second period with all of the momentum.
Christopher Stalmok recorded his tenth goal of the year as he found the back of the net 20 seconds into the frame. Colin Phillippon gave the Greyhounds their first lead as he scored the first even-strength goal at 9:06. Three minutes later,
Shane Sullivan gave Assumption a two-goal lead as
Ryan Decker picked up the assist on the play. Franklin Pierce cut the deficit in half, with just under five minutes remaining in the period, as Matt Horan found the back of the net.
It wasn't until the middle of the third period that the Greyhounds regained their two-goal advantage, as
William Smith scored the third power-play goal for the visitors. Assumption added an insurance goal, as
Ronny Paragallo tapped in an empty net goal, making it 6-3, Greyhounds.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Drew Benedict recorded 26 saves in the crease for Assumption.
- The Greyhounds outshot the Ravens 35-29 while also winning 39-of-73 faceoffs
- Assumption went 3-for-5 on the man advantage, while Franklin Pierce went 2-for-5.
