WORCESTER, Mass. – Ryan Decker was named as the Northeast-10 Conference Rookie of the Week honors, while four other Greyhounds received Honor Roll mentions as announced by the NE10 Conference office on Monday afternoon.
Ryan Decker had a complete weekend for the Greyhounds, as he recorded a goal and two assists in a two-game sweep over Franklin Pierce. On Friday, the center had two assists, three blocked shots, and was 11-for-20 in the faceoff circle. On Saturday, Decker recorded a goal, one shot block, and was 8-for-13 in the circle. He tallied a +3-ice rating over the weekend.
Honor Roll
Isiah Gaiter recorded 21 points, while also adding four assists and eight rebounds at Franklin Pierce on Wednesday. This was his sixth 20+ performance on the year.
Ja'Lyn Armstrong had a game-high 16 points, as Assumption extended their winning streak to five-games following a 57-24 win at Franklin Pierce on Thursday.
Drew Benedict picked up a pair of wins this weekend, as the Greyhounds swept Franklin Pierce. On Friday, the netminder turned aside 26 shots enroute to a 6-3 win. On Saturday, Benedict made nine stops in relief and secured the 5-4 win for Assumption.
In two games,
Michael Zampanti recorded one goal and three assists, as Assumption swept Franklin Pierce. On Friday, the captain registered an assist, while winning 9-of-10 faceoffs. On Saturday, Zampanti scored one goal and added a pair of assists, while also winning 10-of-16 faceoffs.
