MANCHESTER, N.H. - The Assumption University women's ice hockey team could not keep up the Saint Anselm College offensive, as they would fall 7-3 in New England Women's Hockey Alliance action Saturday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Saint Anselm came out firing as they outshot Assumption 20-2 in the opening period. The Hawks struck for two goals in the opening 15 minutes, but Sheridan Terrazzano put the Greyhounds on the board with her third of the year at 15:25.
Just over the two-minute marker in the second period, Kaitlyn Cielo tied the game for the guests as she struck on the power play. The Hawks responded with a goal 46 seconds later. Saint Anselm doubled their lead with a short-handed tally with 7:25 showing on the second-period clock.
Assumption would not go quietly, as Cielo found the back of the cage for the second time in the contest in the opening minute of the third. The Hawks would continue to extend their lead, adding three unanswered goals that pushed the final score to 7-3.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Katelyn Michals recorded 32 saves in her collegiate appearance.
- The Hawks outshot the Greyhounds 57-45 while winning 36 of 57.
- Saint Anselm now leads the all-time series 1-0-1.
