MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Assumption University women's volleyball team fell in straight sets at Southern New Hampshire University Tuesday evening in Northeast-10 Conference action.

Records: Greyhounds (6-9, 1-5 NE10), Penmen (8-8, 2-2 NE10)
HOW IT HAPPENED
In the first set, the two teams traded the early points, but when it was 11-11, Southern New Hampshire rattled off ten-straight points to go up 21-11. The Penmen gave up a few points, but SNHU eventually took the opening set 25-14. The hosts were efficient in the first set, supporting a .414 hitting percentage.
SNHU opened the second set fast, as they ran out to an early 6-1 advantage. The Greyhounds would slowly close the gap and get the margin within one (19-18), but the Penmen refused to let Assumption tie it and took the second set 25-21.
The third set was closely contested, but the Greyhounds would take a slight lead at 12-10. Southern New Hampshire answered with a 7-0 run to go up 17-12. The two teams would trade points down the stretch, and the Penmen would eventually pull out a 25-19 win.
