WORCESTER, Mass. - Two goals from May van Woundenberg lifted the Assumption University field hockey team to a 2-0 win over St. Thomas Aquinas College in Northeast-10 Conference action Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Assumption came out on the attack, as they controlled the majority of the action first half. The Greyhounds went on top at 12:13 in the first quarter, as van Woundenberg fired a shot from the top of the circle, beating the STAC netminder. Assumption would carry the 1-0 lead into halftime while outshooting the Spartans 10-1 through 30 minutes.
The Greyhounds pushed the lead to 2-0 as van Woundenberg hammered home another goal off of a penalty corner. Assumption refused to let up on the STAC defense as they continued to fire shots. The Greyhounds would go on to win the game 2-0, as they outshot the opposition 22-2.
