WORCESTER, Mass – The Assumption University women's hockey team completed the weekend sweep of Saint Michael's College, as the Greyhounds recorded a 3-1 win over the Purple Knights in New England Women's Hockey Alliance action Saturday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Assumption started fast, as
Kaitlyn Cielo potted an unassisted tally at 1:19 of the first period. The Greyhounds' lead would double at the 13:35 marker, as
Ella Rago scored her first goal of the year, with
Delaney Williams and
Teagan Vaughan recording helpers.
The hosts expanded their advantage to 3-0 in the middle frame, as
Ava McGaffigan scored on the saucer pass from
Sheridan Terrazzano. Assumption carried their 3-0 lead late into the third period before Saint Michael's scored with 2:26 on the game clock.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Carissa Mudrak logged 25 saves in the Assumption win.
- The Greyhounds outshot the Purple Knights 43-26, while the visitors won 33 of 65 faceoffs.
