WATERBURY, Conn. – The Assumption University women's hockey team recorded their first shutout in program history, as the Greyhounds defeated Post University 3-0 in New England Women's Hockey Alliance action, Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Assumption started fast, as
Sheridan Terrazzano opened the scoring in the opening minute. The Greyhounds' lead would double less than two minutes later as
Ella Rago found
Kayla McGaffigan for the score.
The game would remain 2-0 in favor of the Greyhounds until the tail end of the second period when
Cassandra Johnson scored her first career goal. Assumption would continue to apply the pressure in the third period, as they outshot the Eagles 17-5, but the game would end with a 3-0 final score.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Carissa Mudrak logged 27 saves to pick up the Greyhounds' first shutout in program history.
- Assumption outshot Post 46-27 while also winning 42 of 70 faceoffs.
