WORCESTER, Mass. – The Assumption University men's ice hockey team scored three times in the third period to extend their winning streak to four games. The Greyhounds defeated Post University 4-1 in Northeast-10 Conference action on Saturday evening at the Worcester Ice Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Neither side would establish any offense in the first period, as the score would remain tied for the opening 20 minutes, despite Post outshooting Assumption 9-8. The Greyhounds flipped the script in the second period as they came out firing.
Sean Donoghue opened the scoring at the 13:27 mark, as
Nathan Palumbo assisted on Donoghue's first career-tally. The Eagles would answer before the end of the middle frame, as Michael Gethings tied the game with 3:07 showing on the clock.
The Greyhounds opened the scoring four minutes into the third period as
Shane Sullivan netted his second goal of the year. The Assumption's advantage doubled five minutes later as
Leo Piandes found the back of the net off the faceoff win of
Ronny Paragallo.
Jonathan Surrette pushed the Greyhounds' advantage to 4-1 as he potted his Northeast-10 Conference-leading ninth goal of the year with 2:48 showing on the game clock.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Clement Labillois tallied 22 saves in his first action of the year in the win.
- Surrette has registered a goal in every game this season and logged his third multi-point performance this year.
- The Greyhounds outshot the Eagles 47-23 while winning 33 of 61 faceoffs.
- Neither team scored on the man advantage, as Assumption went 0-for-4 and Post went 0-for-1.
- Assumption has now extended their lead in the all-time series to 18-2-1, as they are now unbeaten in the last ten meetings.
