WORCESTER, Mass. – Jonathan Surrette and
Thomas McLarnon earned the Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Week honor as they represented Assumption University in the weekly awards. At the same time,
Marina Callahan and
Callum Welch were named to the Honor Roll mentions announced by the NE10 Conference office on Monday afternoon.
Jonathan Surrette ran his point streak to ten games, recording a goal and two assists in a three-point week. Against Anna Maria, he scored his NE10-leading tenth goal of the year before wrapping up the week with a pair of assists in Assumption's 4-1 comeback win at Post.
Thomas McLarnon continued his hot stretch to begin the year, posting a 31-save performance in Assumption's 4-1 win at Post. He currently leads the NE10 conference in wins (7), winning percentage (1.000), goals-against average (2.53), and is third in save percentage (.915).
Honor Roll
The reigning NE10 Player of the Week poured in a game-high 20 points in Assumption's game at Saint Rose.
Marina Callahan added six rebounds, two assists, four steals, and one block to her stat line.
Callum Welch had a solid showing in the first action of his collegiate career, as he turned aside 38 shots against an Anna Maria team that knocked off Division I Stonehill three days prior. He held the AMCats scoreless until the final 2:39, where they scored one even-strength goal.
