WORCESTER, Mass. – Four Greyhounds received Honor Roll mentions as announced by the NE10 Conference office on Monday afternoon.
Isiah Gaiter averaged a double-double, 21.5 points, and 12.5 rebounds as the Greyhounds went 2-0 on the week. The point guard started the week with 22 points and a career-high 14 points in a 65-50 win against AIC. He followed that performance up with a 21-point outburst at Saint Michael's, where he helped Assumption overcome a 16-point deficit and record a 67-62 road win. Following his back-to-back double-doubles, Gaiter now ranks sixth in the conference with 15.2 points and fourth in rebounds with 7.8.
Monica Spain recorded back-to-back double-doubles for Assumption in two games this week. She opened up the week with a 12-point, 10-rebound performance against AIC. The Senior followed that up with a 17-point, 11-point showing in a 54-38 win at Saint Michael's on Saturday.
Drew Benedict allowed one goal in 65 minutes against Post on Friday. He posted a 0.92 goals-against average and a .957 save percentage.
Colin Philippon powered the Greyhounds' offense in their 5-2 win over Post on Saturday. The left winger assisted on the second Assumption goal in the final minute of the first period before scoring the game-winning goal in the waning moments of the second period. Philippon went on to add another goal and assist in the third period, as the Greyhounds went on to extend their unbeaten streak to four games.
