LAKEWOOD, N.J. – The Assumption University men's lacrosse team dropped their second straight game, as the Greyhounds fell to Georgian Court University 13-7 in non-conference action Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Georgian Court started fast, as the Lions struck for three goals in the opening six minutes. Ryan Healey got the Greyhounds on the board with his team-leading eighth goal of the year with 7:29 showing on the game clock. After GCU regained a three-goal advantage, CJ Wiper closed out the scoring in the first quarter with a low shot for a goal.
In the second quarter, Assumption came out on the attack, as two quick strikes by Wiper and Brayden MacLean tied the game at 4-4. The two teams continued to trade goals for the remainder of the first half, as the hosts would maintain a slight advantage heading into the intermission, 7-6.
Coming out of halftime, the Lions applied the pressure as they outscored the Greyhounds 4-1 in the frame, with MacLean recording the lone goal for the Blue and White. In the fourth quarter, GCU recorded both goals, despite being outshot 16-6 in the frame.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Colin Malone recorded 15 saves in the crease for Assumption.
- Assumption outshot the hosts 57-41, while Georgian Court won 14-of-23 faceoffs.
