WORCESTER, Mass. – After a tight first quarter, the Assumption University men's lacrosse could not keep up with the top team in the nation, as they fell to No. 1 Le Moyne College 11-3 in Northeast-10 Conference action Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Assumption struck first in the opening minutes of the first quarter through
Ryan Healey, who slashed inside and shot for his 18th goal of the season to put the Greyhounds up 1-0. Le Moyne responded by netting four straight goals, with two coming from Ethan Loun.
Patrik McGrath responded with one for Assumption at the end to make it 4-2 Le Moyne after the first quarter.
The Dolphins completely dominated the next 30 minutes of action. They scored six straight, leaving Assumption goalless until 4:27 left in the 4th quarter. In the third period, Le Moyne controlled the shots 10-5 while winning all three faceoffs. The fourth was once again a defensive masterclass by Le Moyne as they forced the Assumption offense into difficult shots deep into the shot clock.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Colin Malone recorded 14 saves in net for Assumption.
- The Dolphins outshot the hosts 39-27, while Le Moyne had a slight edge in the faceoff circle, winning 10-of-18 of the restarts
