Joseph, Degeorge, O'Connell, and Weiand Named All-NE10

MANSFIELD, Mass. – Four Assumption University women's lacrosse players were named to the Northeast-10 All-Conference teams, while two Greyhounds were named to the All-Rookie team, as the league announced its All-Conference teams on Thursday afternoon.

Jenna Joseph became the first Greyhound to be named to the NE10 First Team since 2019, as the senior led the conference in both assists (49) and points (89) while also leading Assumption with 40 goals. She was named the NE10 Player of the Week following an offensive eruption on Senior Day, as she scored a career-high eight goals and 12 points.

Taylor Degeorge was named to the All-NE10 Third team as she led a defense that allowed 11.06 goals per game. She established new career-highs in ground balls (23), caused turnovers (15), and draw controls.

Caroline O'Connell picked up an All-NE10 Third team consideration, as she paced the Greyhounds defense with 41 groundballs and 24 caused turnovers.

After only three starts last year, Molly Weiand started in all 17 games and was named to the Third Team All-NE10. On the offensive end, Weiand scored 27 goals and two assists for 29 points, while defensively, she racked up 27 ground balls, 21 draw controls, and forced 21 turnovers.

Kailey Butler and Skylar Troyan were also represented, as the duo were named to the All-Rookie team. After starting the year coming off the bench, Butler became a starter for the Assumption defense. In 13 games, Butler tallied 12 ground balls, 17 draw controls, and six caused turnovers. Troyan was the top netminder in her freshman campaign for the Greyhounds. The Boca Raton, Fla. native sported a 9-8 record with 135 saves, a .431 save percentage, and an 11.38 goals-against average. She was named NE10 Goaltender of the Week after a back-to-back double-digit save performance, where she registered a career-high 18 saves at No. 14 Bentley, which is the most by a Greyhound since Lauren Matysiak had 23 against Bentley on April 5, 2008. On Saturday, Troyan made ten stops in a double-overtime loss at No. 9 Adelphi.
