WORCESTER, Mass. – The Assumption University Field Hockey team just wrapped up preseason, but the preseason poll has been released. After being voted to win the Northeast-10 Conference Coaches' Preseason Poll, the Greyhounds were just ranked No. 6 nationally, according to the Penn Monto/National Field Hockey Coaches Association Coaches Poll.

Last season, Assumption (15-6, 11-2 NE10) averaged 1.90 goals per game while allowing 1.53 goals per game. The NFHCA East Regional Coaching Staff of the Year, led by Head Coach

This season, the Greyhounds will take on six teams who are in the top 10. Assumption will begin the year with a tough test as they will take on No. 3 West Chester (Sept. 1), No. 1 East Stroudsburg (Sept. 3), and No. 2 Shippensburg (Sept. 10) within the first four games. They will also take on No. 7 Saint Anselm (Oct. 28), No. 8 Adelphi (Oct. 7), and No. 10 Pace (Sept 30).
