COLORADO SPRINGS, CO — The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) is honored to announce the 2025 NFHCA Division II All-Region teams sponsored by Apex Field Hockey. Division II teams are separated into the Atlantic and East regions.

Assumption had four All-Region recipients, which is tied for the most in the East Region. Paige Gillette, Jillian McSorley, and Elle Murray were all named to the First Team, while Mieke Rentsch was selected to the Second Team.

Gillette played every game in the cage for the Greyhounds this season, where she supported a 13-7 overall record, while going 11-1 in Northeast 10 Conference action. She earned her first All-NE10 First Team honor, having been named to the All-Conference second team the previous season. The 2025 campaign has been the best for the Graduate Student, as she has career highs in both goals-against average (0.90) and save percentage (0.813).

McSorley also took home her first All-NE10 First Team honor, as she headlines the top defense in the Northeast 10, as the Greyhounds allowed 0.72 goals per game. In conference action, the defense held the opposition to just a 0.55 goals-against average and just 46 total shots. McSorley appeared in 13 games, while also recording one defensive save.

Murray capped off her senior season by tying a career-high 13 goals, while adding four assists for a team-leading 30 points. She tallied three game-winning goals this season (American International, Bentley, and Pace).

Rentsch brought home three honors following her stellar freshman campaign, as she was named the Northeast 10 Conference Rookie of the Year, while adding All-NE10 Second Team and All-Rookie team to her resume. In 18 games, the German product recorded five goals and added eight assists for 18 points. She had multi-goal outings vs Southern Connecticut and Franklin Pierce.  Both goals were game winners.

The NFHCA Division II All-Region team announcement is the first in a list of NFHCA postseason awards over the next several weeks. Next to be announced are the NFHCA Regional Players of the Year on December 11, followed by the NFHCA All-American teams on December 16 and the NFHCA National Player of the Year on December 18.
