WALTHAM, Mass. - The Assumption University field hockey team dropped in their final action before Northeast-10 Conference action, as they fell to Bentley University 3-2 Thursday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The first half was dominated by the Greyhounds, as they outshot the host 8-2 in the opening 30 minutes, while also having four corners to just one for Bentley. Despite the lopsided numbers, the game would remain scoreless until the third quarter.
Bentley was the first one to strike in the third quarter, as Abigail Hewes scored at the 37:34 marker. Less than three minutes later, the Falcons doubled their advantage with Madison Halas finding the back of the cage. Mia Salah put Assumption on the board for the first time of the day, as she scored off the Elle Murray assist. 76 seconds later, Salah fed Marta Brzoska to tie the game, in the final minute of the third.
The game would not remain tied for long into the fourth quarter, as Halas struck again. The Bentley back line would stiffen up in the final frame, as they limited the Greyhounds to just one shot.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Paige Gillette recorded five saves for the Greyhounds.
- Mia Salah recorded three points in her first action of the year.
- The Greyhounds outshot the Falcons 13-11, while both sides had eight shots on goal.
- Bentley now leads the all-time series 46-15-1.
