WORCESTER, Mass. – The Assumption University men's ice hockey team rebounded with a 4-1 win over Saint Anselm College to secure the weekend split against the Northeast-10 Conference foe on Saturday afternoon at the Worcester Ice Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Nathan Palumbo opened the scoring at 8:18 of the first period, with
Patrick McKiernan and
Jimmy McDermott recording assists on the play. The Assumption lead would double five minutes later when Leo Piandres scored off the faceoff win by
Ronny Paragallo on the powerplay.
Assumption extended their lead to 3-0 halfway through the second period when
Shane Sullivan got on the board. Paragallo pushed the host's lead to 4-0 in the final minute of the middle frame. Saint Anselm would break the shutout attempt with under two minutes remaining in regulation, but the Greyhounds' lead was too great to overcome.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Clement Labillois recorded 33 saves in the win for the Greyhounds while also logging an assist on Shane Sullivan's goal.
- Saint Anselm outshot Assumption 34-31 while having a slight lead in the faceoff circle (39-of-77).
- The Greyhounds went 1-for-4 on the man advantage, while the Hawks were scoreless on five chances.
- Saint Anselm now leads the all-time series 35-15-3.
