BURLINGTON, VT. – The Assumption University women's ice hockey team netted three-period goals as the Greyhounds picked up a 5-2 New England Women's Hockey Alliance win at Saint Michael's College on Friday evening at Cairns Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
After a scoreless first period, Assumption got on the board at 5:59 of the middle frame.
Jenna Chaplain was the first player to get on the scoreboard with her sixth goal of the year. At the 13:45 marker, Alexi Kirkeby scored her first collegiate tally, with
Alexa Hanrahan recording the assist on the play.
Saint Michael's would not go quietly, as they eventually got one at 2:25 of the third period. The Greyhounds responded with Hanrahan putting Assumption up 3-1 at 5:07. After the Purple Knights cut the deficit to 3-2, the Greyhounds finished the game strong, with goals from Hanrahan and
Rachel Agerter to give the visitors a 5-2 road win.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Carissa Mudrak logged 29 saves to pick up the road win.
- Assumption outshot Saint Michael's 53-31 while winning 35 of 54 faceoffs.
