Bridgeport, Conn. - The Assumption University women's ice hockey team led by two goals early, but Long Island University rallied with three goals in the final two periods to defeat the Greyhounds 3-2 on Wednesday night. Assumption drops to 0-5 on the season, while LIU improves to 1-3.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Caroline Lilly opened the scoring for Assumption at 3:48 of the second period with an even-strength goal, assisted by
Mikaela Langbacka.
Jenna Chaplain then added a second goal for the Greyhounds at 9:21, finishing a setup from
Avalyn Mikkelson. LIU responded quickly in the third period, scoring 12 seconds into the frame. The Sharks tied the game at 12:05 with a power-play goal and completed their comeback at 17:32 when Bri Eid netted the game-winner.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Assumption took 49 total shots, with 31 on goal, while LIU managed 31 total shots.
- Goaltender Carissa Mudrak made 29 saves for the Greyhounds, with a .914 save percentage.
