MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Assumption University football team dropped their Northeast-10 Conference game of the year, as the Greyhounds fell to Saint Anselm 20-14 in overtime at Grappone Stadium, Saturday afternoon.
THE BASICS

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Assumption struck fast, as on the game's second play,
Jay Kastantin connected with
Nick Ofodile for a 55-yard strike, putting the Greyhounds up 7-0 early. Saint Anselm tied the game halfway through the second quarter as Drew Forkner found Blaine Burkhalter for a four-yard score.
After forcing a three and out in the first drive for the Hawks to begin the second half, Assumption put together an eight-play 81-yard drive to go up 14-7, capped off by an eight-yard rushing touchdown by Kastantin. Saint Anselm tied the game with a 34-yard touchdown pass to Burkhalter with 3:04 remaining in regulation.
The game would head to overtime, but after the Hounds could not score on their first possession, Jake Croce capped off the game with a one-yard touchdown plunge for the hosts, ending the game at 20-14.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Jay Kastantin led the way through the air for the Greyhounds, as he went 10-for-16 for 176 yards and one touchdown.
- Jamar Ballard Jr. was the lead back for the Hounds, as he had 12 carries for 30 yards, while Kyron Simonson had five carries for 24 yards.
- Nick Ofodile had one reception for 55 yards and a score.
- Owen Fitzgerald was all over the field for Assumption, as he had 11 tackles and two quarterback hurries.
- Assumption still leads the all-time series 18-8.
