WORCESTER, Mass. – Powered by a game-high 12 kills from
Carly Goodhue, the Assumption University women's volleyball team defeated Southern New Hampshire University 3-0 in Northeast-10 Conference action Saturday afternoon inside Laska Gymnasium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
After the two teams traded the first few points, but with the score tied at 8-8, the Greyhounds went on a 17-9 to win the set 25-16, following an attacking error by the Penmen. Southern New Hampshire started the second set strong as they raced out to a 14-6 lead. Assumption would not quit and went on a 17-9 run to tie the second set at 23-23, with
Carly Goodhue and
Carly Goodhue having three kills. SNHU pushed it to set point, but the Hounds would get a kill by
Kaitlyn Montgomery, an ace by
Tatiana Calderin, and a kill by
Alexis Distasio to take the middle set 27-25.
In the third set, it was all Greyhounds, as they grabbed a 2-1 lead and would not look back. Assumption took the third and final set 25-14, with Goodhue logging four kills.
