WORCESTER, Mass. – Four alumni of the Assumption University men's basketball team have gone overseas to play professional basketball.
Alex Carlisle,
Cooper Creek,
Kasey Draper, and
Kani Glover signed professional deals abroad.
Alex Carlisle joined the Limerick Sports Eagles, a National League Team in the Men's Division One, in Limerick, Ireland. Carlisle, who came to Assumption via Wheaton (Mass.) last season, recorded 1,513 points in 101 games. The two-time NEWMAC All-Conference selection poured in 43 points on October 15
th against the Galway Titans.
Cooper Creek returned to his home country of Australia, where he is playing for the Keilor Thunder, a team in the Australian National Basketball League (NBL) in the first division. In two games this season, Creek has averaged four rebounds.
Kasey Draper headed to Germany following one year at Assumption. The Roanoke, Virginia native signed with the EPG Guardians Koblenz in the German Pro A. In eight games, Draper has averaged 6.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game. Last week, Draper had his best game since signing, where he scored 23 points on 7-of-17 shooting with five rebounds in 39 minutes.
Kani Glover traveled to Ireland to play for the Killarney Cougars, a team in the men's National League Division One. Through five games of the season, Glover poured in 156 points (31.2 PPG).
The current Greyhounds will tip off their 2024-25 campaign at home, as they will host Bloomfield College on Friday, November 8
th, at 7:00 p.m.
