WORCESTER, Mass. – The Assumption University men's ice hockey team dropped a 4-2 decision to Saint Michael's College on Senior Day on Saturday afternoon at the Worcester Ice Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Saint Michael's College was the first team to score; they got on the board at 13:29 of the first period. Their lead doubled two minutes later as Case Kantgias scored. Assumption would not end the first period scoreless, as
Leo Piandes broke through at 18:16.
The Purple Knights pulled away in the second period, as they capitalized on a 5-on-3 to begin the frame to make it 3-1 before netting a fourth goal at the halfway mark. The Greyhounds would not go quietly in the third period, as they outshot the visitors 19-7 but only scored once, on a
Jake Lavoie redirect in the final minute.

- Assumption outshot Saint Michael's 56-31, while the Greyhounds won 34 of 63 faceoffs.
