WORCESTER, Mass. – The Assumption University women's ice hockey team potted a goal in each period as they completed the weekend sweep of Sacred Heart University following a 3-1 decision in New England Women's Hockey Alliance action Saturday evening at the Worcester Ice Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Assumption was the first team to strike, as Sheridan Terrazano intercepted a pass in the neutral zone and scored on a breakaway at 5:28 of the first period. Sacred Heart responded before the end of the opening frame, as Iyla Ryskamp at the 15:36 mark.
The game would remain tied until the final minute of the middle frame, as
Delaney Williams beat the Pioneers' netminder with a wrist shot at 19:09. The Greyhounds added an insurance goal at 13:58 of the third period, as
Ella Rago's wrister from the low circle snuck past the SHU goaltender, making it 3-1 Assumption.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Carissa Mudrak logged 32 saves for the Greyhounds.
- Sacred Heart had a slight advantage in the shot department (33-32), while Assumption won 30 of 59 faceoffs.
- The Greyhounds were the only team to score on the powerplay, as they were 1-for-3, while the Pioneers went 0-for-3.
- Assumption now leads the all-time series 3-1-0
