WORCESTER, Mass. – The Assumption University swimming and diving team wrapped up the third day of the Northeast-10 Conference Championships Saturday evening at the WPI Sports & Recreation Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
To open up Day 3 of the morning session, the Hounds saw
Isabella Smith qualify in the Women 400 yd IM preliminaries with a time of 4:51.28. In the men's event,
Sean Leary finished in a similar position at eighth place with a time of 4:18.58. In the Women's 100-yard Butterfly,
Hannah English was the last swimmer to qualify as she came in at 1:04.54. In the Men's 100 yd Butterfly,
Andrew Keenan continued his performances as he qualified with a time of 51.82.
Jenna Swist qualified in the Women's 200-yard Freestyle preliminary in third place with a time of 1:55.75, while
Caroline McKay also qualified in the event, her time being 1:59.96. In the Women's 100 yd Breaststroke,
Savina Villani qualified at a blazing speed of 1:06.66, which was good for the second fastest time.
Melanie Robertson also qualified at 1:09.22. In the Women 100 yd Breaststroke preliminaries,
Elizabeth Galicki came fifth at 59.97. In the men's event, the Hounds saw two swimmers qualify,
Liam Goodlett and
Andrew Keenan, at 54.73 and 54.88, respectively.
Isabella Smith finished sixth place in the Women 400 yd IM at 4:48.50 at the start of the night session. In the men's,
Sean Leary finished eighth at 4:20.52.
Hannah English came in 16th in the Women 100 yd Butterfly at 1:04.33. In the men's,
Andrew Keenan came sixth at a time of 51.73. The Hounds had two finishers in the top eight of the Women 200 yd Freestyle, with Jenna Swift coming third (1:54.74) and
Caroline McKay coming eighth (1:59.85).
Savina Villani won the Women 100 yd Breaststroke, finishing at 1:05.80, while her teammate
Melanie Robertson finished 11th at 1:10.68. Moving over to the 100-yard Backstroke,
Elizabeth Galicki finished at 59.71 for fifth place. On the Men's side,
Andrew Keenan (11th) and
Liam Goodlett (13th) finished in the top 16 with times of 55.17 and 55.60. In the relays, the 200 Yd Medley saw Assumption finish third at 1:49.20, with Galicki, Robertson, Faulkner, and McKay swimming for the Hounds. Assumption's second unit came on the 14th, with Smith,
Dea Dedolli, English, and
Emily Mihalek timing in at 2:05.15. To conclude the night, Assumption's Men's relay finished 8th place in the 200-yard Medley at 1:39.77.
