Records: Greyhounds (17-3, 12-3 NE10), Hawks (9-12, 6-9 NE10)

HOW IT HAPPENED
Assumption started with their free-flowing offense in the early going, as they jumped out to a 9-4 lead through a Molly Stokes three-pointer. The Hawks got it back within one, but Teagan Curran answered with a three of her own with 2:44 left in the first. At the quarter break, Assumption led 14-8, with the last quarter basket being sealed by Kaijhe Hall with a layup inside. Assumption pulled away a bit in the second, outsourcing the Hawks 15-11. Teagan Kamm and Emma Dahl opened the quarter with layups while Stokes continued her hot play from the midrange and beyond the arc. Marina Callahan also worked in a couple of buckets, and before they knew it, Assumption held a double-digit lead at the break, 29-19.

The third quarter was evenly matched, with the Hounds dropping 15 compared to 14 from the Hawks. Melanie Hoyt and Tatum Forbes continued to the Saint Anselm offense, while Curran scored five straight in the last two minutes to extend the Hounds lead and her total up to 10. Heading into the last ten minutes of action, Assumption led 44-33. In the fourth, Callahan, Stokes, and Hall took turns extinguishing the fire the Hawks were trying to come back with as they continued to pour on buckets every time Saint Anselm got back within ten. Stokes led the way with 20 as the Hounds offense was too much to overcome, as they defeated Saint Anselm 64-47.
