WORCESTER, Mass. – The Assumption University women's ice hockey team played to a 0-0 tie with Post University in New England Women's Hockey Alliance action Saturday evening at the Worcester Ice Center.

Records: Greyhounds (8-19-3, 8-13-3 NEWHA), Eagles (7-22-1, 7-16-1 NEWHA)
HOW IT HAPPENED
The first period was evenly matched, as both teams fired 13 shots on target, but neither team was able to break through. The Greyhounds dominated the second period, as they outshot the visiting Eagles 15-5. Despite the extra pressure on the defense, the game would head into the third period, still knotted at 0-0.
In the third period, Assumption continued their offensive prowl and would outshoot the opposition 31-5, but only 20-2 on target. The game would head into an overtime session where Post would outshoot the Greyhounds 12-2 in the five minutes in the frame. The game would end as a 0-0 tie.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Carissa Mudrak recorded 26 saves for the Greyhounds.
- Assumption outshot Post 44-26, while the visitors won 33 of 63 faceoffs.
- Neither team scored on the powerplay, as the Greyhounds went 0-for-4 and the Eagles went 0-for-5.
