Cameron Theriault,
Nick Polymeros, and
Aidan Rodgers also found the target for Assumption. The second quarter consisted of a goal from both sides, as the Hounds led 5-3 at the break.
The Yellow Jackets had a strong second half, outsourcing Assumption 3-1, leading to a fourth quarter at a tie game of 6-6. Assumption came out strong in the fourth quarter, scoring two straight goals from Polymeros and
Patrik McGrath to give the Hounds a two-goal advantage. After AIC tied it up at 8-8 with two of their own, the Hounds responded strongly through
Sam Maciel and McGrath again, who each scored late in the fourth quarter for a 10-8 lead in favor of Assumption. As the game approached sub-two minutes, Assumption still led by two goals, and they were able to see out the rest of the game on the road.
