SHREWSBURY, Mass. – The Assumption University Rowing team hosted their final home race of the season, welcoming Connecticut College, Amherst College, and Middlebury College to Lake Quinsigamond.
The Greyhounds varsity eight took to the water under sunny skies and warm conditions with a light cross-headwind. The Assumption women rowed a clean race but were outpaced by Middlebury College, which won the event in a time of 7:23.3. Amherst (7:26.6), Connecticut College (7:41.8), and Assumption (8:25.7) followed.

Later in the morning, the team recognized its seven graduating eight for their contributions to the team. The seniors honored included
Carly Duvall, Katie Ickes, Jessie Crosby,
Olivia Shan,
Cassidy O'Hara,
Prithyankara Rajesh,
Brianna Rawlston, and
Hannah Pennings, who will graduate in the fall.
The team will conclude its spring season next weekend at the New England Rowing Championships on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester.
