MANSFIELD, Mass. - The Northeast-10 Conference announced Tuesday the league's outdoor track and field major postseason awards, highlighting the depth across the conference. Winners hail from seven different schools.
Four rookies take home league honors, headlined by an NCAA competitor in Assumption's
Malina Bohlmann. An unrecruited walk-on, Bohlmann did not compete during the indoor season and then won the league's championship in the javelin in spring. She also received votes for Women's Field Athlete of the Year after her +16 feet conference title broke the league record at 46.77m. She's ranked 11th in Division II.
She is the third Greyhound named the NE10 Outdoor Women's Field Rookie of the Year, joining Abby Jones (2016) and Gwendelyn Sawyer (2014).
Malina will compete at the NCAA Division II National Championship in Emporia, Kansas, on Saturday, May 25th, at 2:30 pm EDT, 1:30 pm CDT.
