WORCESTER, Mass. – The Assumption University outdoor track & field teams will be represented at the 2025 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championship later this month, as Malina Bohlmann will compete out in Pueblo, Colorado.
The two-time Northeast-10 Conference Champion and New England Champion in the women's javelin, Malina Bohlmann, will represent the Greyhounds on the women's side, as she was dominant during her sophomore campaign. Bohlmann, who broke the program record at last year's NCAA Championship with a third-place finish following a throw of 50.85m (166' 10).
She competed in five competitions this spring, where she won all of the meets by an average of 2.71m (8'10"). Bohlmann began the year winning the Rage in the Cage Invitational with a throw of 42.34m (138'11"), before improving to a 44.10m (144'8") at the Ed Daniels Invite. At the UMass Lowell George Davis Invitational, she pushed her top mark of the season to 44.71m (146'8") before peaking at the Northeast-10 Conference Championship, where she won the event with a throw of 45.49m (149'3"). Bohlmann wrapped up her regular season with her second-straight New England Championship with a throw of 45.26m (148'6"), besting the field by 4.24m (14'11")
Student-athletes qualified for the championships by reaching a provisional standard established for each event. For each individual event contested, the top 22 declared student-athletes were accepted into the competition, the top 16 declared relay teams, one per institution, were accepted, and for the heptathlon and decathlon, the top 16 declared student-athletes were accepted into the competition. The championships will be held May 22-24 in Pueblo, Colorado at the CSU Pueblo Thunderbowl. Colorado State University Pueblo will serve as the host of the championships. The championships will be streamed live on NCAA.com.
