RINDGE, N.H. - The Assumption University football team picked up their first win of the year, as they recorded a 27-7 victory over Franklin Pierce University in non-conference action Saturday afternoon at Sodexo Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Assumption was the first team to score, as Jamar Ballard had a 3-yard touchdown plunge. The Greyhounds pushed their lead to 10-0 before the end of the first quarter, as
Massimo Sgambati hit a 38-yard field goal. The visiting Hounds struck once more before the halftime break, as
Jay Kastantin hit
Ethan Friberg for a 26-yard strike to go up 17-0.
Franklin Pierce would get on the scoreboard at the beginning of the fourth quarter, as Adrian Parker found Trey Sejour for a 29-yard score. Assumption responded with a 32-yard field goal to go up 20-7 before
Kameron Robbins capped off the game with a 14-yard touchdown run to secure a 27-7 win for the Greyhounds.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Jay Kastantin led the way for the Greyhounds through the air, completing 8-of-16 for 85 yards and a touchdown.
- Kameron Robbins was the lead back for the Blue and White, as he had 13 carries for 94 yards and a score, while Jamar Ballard Jr. added eight rushes for 28 yards and a touchdown.
- Ethan Friberg had a pair of receptions for 31 yards and a score, while Quinn Sieger had four catches for 21 yards.
