WEST HAVEN, Conn. – Ashley Wenzel's third goal of the year came at a vital time, as the Assumption University women's soccer team walked away with a 1-1 draw against the University of New Haven following the senior's tally in the 88th minute, Friday evening at Kathy Zolad Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
New Haven struck early, benefiting from an Assumption own goal 59 seconds into the match. Despite the early setback, the Greyhounds took control of play, with relentless pressure resulting in 24 total shots compared to just three for the Chargers.
The equalizer finally came in the 88th minute when
Ashley Wenzel found the back of the net, scoring her third goal of the season off an assist from
Rachael Geniuch. Wenzel's goal capped a night where Assumption kept New Haven on their heels, forcing the hosts to defend for nearly the entire match.
