HOOKSETT, N.H.— For the second consecutive game, the Assumption University men's ice hockey team fell 2-0 to a Northeast-10 Conference opponent, as the Greyhounds succumbed to Southern New Hampshire University Friday evening at the Ice Den.
THE BASICS:

Records: Greyhounds (10-10-0, 7-4-0 NE10) | Penmen (7-9-1, 6-4-1 NE10)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
After a scoreless first period, Southern New Hampshire was the first team to get on the board, as Bryan McLachlan scored on the power play at the 17:26 mark of the second period. The game would remain 1-0 in favor of the hosts, but Assumption Head Coach
Michael Looney pulled his goalie with 1:49 remaining in regulation. The Greyhounds had a few good scoring chances but would eventually surrender an empty net goal with under two seconds left in regulation and would fall.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Callum Welch recorded 31 saves in the crease for the Greyhounds.
- Southern New Hampshire outshot Assumption 33-32 while also winning 40-of-66 faceoffs.
- The Penmen were the only team to score on the man advantage, as they were 1-for-3, while the Greyhounds were scoreless on four tries.
- Assumption leads the all-time series 43-41-5.
