WORCESTER, Mass.— The Assumption University men's ice hockey team continues to slide, as they dropped their sixth-straight game, as the Greyhounds were shutout by Saint Anselm College 4-0 in Northeast-10 Conference action Saturday afternoon at the Worcester Ice Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Saint Anselm started fast, as Hunter Brackett opened the scoring at the 5:44 marker of the first period, before Brendan Manning added a second goal for the Hawks 1:07 later. In the second period, Saint Anselm outshot Assumption 21-3 in the frame, but Greyhounds' netminder
Thomas McLarnon made all 21 saves.
The Hawks tacked on two more goals in the third to run away with a 4-0 shutout.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Thomas McLarnon recorded 44 saves in the crease for the Greyhounds.
- Saint Anselm outshot Assumption 48-34 while also winning 38-of-68 faceoffs.
- Neither side scored on the power play, as the Greyhounds went 0-for-3 while the Hawks went 0-for-5.
- After not being shut out in 55 straight games, the Hounds have been shutout in four of their last six contests.
- Saint Anselm leads the all-time series 37-18-3.
