WORCESTER, Mass.— The Assumption University men's ice hockey team struck four times on the man advantage, as the Greyhounds came away with a 5-4 non-conference win against Wentworth Institute of Technology on Tuesday evening at the Worcester Ice Center. 

THE BASICS:

Records: Greyhounds (9-8-0, 6-2-0 NE10) | Leopards (4-7-2, 3-4-1 NE10)

HOW IT HAPPENED: 
Assumption was the first team to strike, as Jonathan Surrette opened the scoring at the 2:49 mark in the first period on the power play. Wentworth tied the game before the end of the frame as Jesse Chamberlin potted his first collegiate goal. 
 
In the second period, the Leopards went up with a goal 4:41 into the middle frame, but that was answered by Daniel Lemanski, who tied the game with a man-up goal at 13:05. The Greyhounds regained the lead in the third period, as Shane McElhaney and Lemanski struck on the power play. Still, Wentworth cut the deficit in half with a goal halfway through the period. Jake DiNapoli regained a two-goal lead for the hosts with an empty net goal. The Leopards tried to make a comeback with an extra skater goal with a 6.9 showing on the game clock but could not overcome the deficit. 
 
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

• Michael Hauswirth logged 35 saves for his second-straight save. 
• Assumption outshot Wentworth 52-39 while also winning 38-of-75 faceoffs.
• The Greyhounds went 4-of-9 on the man advantage, while the Leopards were scoreless on four attempts. 
• After not recording a point all season, Daniel Lemanski logged four goals and two assists in the last two games. 
• Wentworth leads the all-time series 13-3-2.
