WORCESTER, Mass.— The Assumption University football team won their fourth-straight game, as the Hounds defeated Pace University 24-7 in Northeast 10 Conference action at Brian Kelly '83 Stadium.
THE BASICS:

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Assumption was the first team to get on the scoreboard, as
Jay Kastantin connected with
Connor Smith for a six-yard touchdown pass. Pace evened the score on the final play of the first quarter with a five-yard quarterback keeper. The Greyhounds went back on top with their following drive, with
Massimo Sgambati hitting a 55-yard field goal to go in front 10-7.
Kameron Robbins capped off a strong first half with 14 carries, 87 yards, and a score with 2:32 remaining in the first half to extend their lead to 17-7.
In the second half, the scoring slowed down, as the only score happened when Kastantin found a wide-open
Jake McAleavey for a 16-yard touchdown strike with 1:37 left in the third quarter. In the final 30 minutes of action, the Greyhounds' defense held Pace to -20 yards of offense, while the hosts had 178.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Jay Kastantin led the offense with 208 yards through the air on 17-of-28 with two touchdown passes, and added 33 yards on the ground.
- Kameron Robbins was the lead back for the Hounds with 22 carries for 115 yards and a score.
- Jake McAleavey and Keith Mancini were the top targets for Kastantin, with both players hauling in four catches for 65 and 50 yards, respectively.
- Tindell Frick was a monster defensively, as he had a team-high ten tackles, while he had a game-high 3.5 sacks, and Owen Fitzgerald had five solo tackles.
- The Greyhounds outgained the Setters 415 to 169.
- Assumption now leads the all-time series 20-12.
