No. 8 Field Hockey bests Saint Michael's, 2-0

COLCHESTER, VT.– The No. 8 nationally ranked Assumption University field hockey team extended their winning streak to eight games following a 2-0 win at Saint Michael's College, Wednesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Assumption came out strong on the offensive side of the ball, as they outshot Saint Michael's College 13-1 in the opening 15 minutes. Nova Rijks picked up the game's first goal, as she scored in the 13th minute off the assist by Daisy Stone. Elle Murray doubled the Greyhounds' lead in the second quarter, as she registered her team-leading 11th of the year. 


INSIDE THE NUMBERS
  • Paige Gillette recorded one save for her fifth shutout of the year. 
  • Assumption outshot Saint Michael's 50-2 while having 14 penalty corners to just two for the hosts
