MANCHESTER, N.H.– The Assumption University volleyball team dropped their fourth straight match, as the Greyhounds fell to Saint Anselm College, Tuesday evening in Northeast 10 Conference action.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The opening set was tight throughout, with Assumption trailing 12-10. Saint Anselm went on a 5-0 run to go up 17-10. The Greyhounds would claw back to get within two at 18-16, but it would be the Hawks that would finish strong, taking the first set 25-17. In the second set, it was the Hounds that took an early advantage at 4-2, but the hosts rattled off six straight to go up 8-4. The Blue and White would not go quietly, as they would battle back to get within one (18-17), following a kill by
Christine Mbachi. Saint Anselm would answer with authority, as they would take seven of the final ten points to win the set 25-20.
The third set was a back-and-forth affair, as the two teams traded points throughout, but with Saint Anselm having match points at 24-22, the Greyhounds rallied to tie it at 24-24, 25-25, 26-26, and 27-27, but it would be the Hawks that capitalized on the Hounds errors and would complete the sweep following a 29-27 final score.
