RINDGE N.H.– The Assumption University volleyball team got back in the win column, as the Greyhounds topped Franklin Pierce 3-0, in non-conference action, Saturday afternoon.

Records: Greyhounds (6-18, 1-5 NE10) | Ravens (6-14, 2-4 NE10)
HOW IT HAPPENED
Franklin Pierce started fast, as they raced out to a 5-2 lead. Assumption battled back to take a 7-6 advantage and would push their lead to 15-8. After the Ravens got a killa from Annaka Lindstrom, the Greyhounds would use a balanced attack to go on a 10-6 run to take the opening set 25-14.
In the second set, Assumption was the team that started fast, as they made it 6-3 before the first substitutions were made.
Madison Lupino got in the fun, as she had three kills over the next few points to go up 15-9. After two points from the hosts, the Greyhounds would close out the middle frame on a 10-5 run to go up 2-0 following a 25-16 set win.
In the third set, the two teams traded points throughout, but it was the Greyhounds who came out on top, taking the third set 25-22.
