SPRINGFIELD, Mass.– The Assumption University women's soccer team was blanked by American International College, 1-0, in Northeast 10 Conference action, Saturday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Assumption controlled the action in the first half as they outshot American International 8-0 and had five corners in the opening 90 minutes. The Greyhounds could not capitalize on their eight shots, as only two went on target, but the Yellow Jacket netminder made both saves.
In the second half, the Hounds continued to apply pressure, outshooting the hosts 3-2 and securing all five corner kicks. AIC was the first team to strike, as Lily Shields scored with a low driving shot inside the left post in the 60
th minute.
