BOSTON, Mass.— The Assumption University women's ice hockey team dropped their second-straight game, as the Greyhounds fell to Stonehill College in New England Women's Hockey Alliance action, Friday evening at the Warrior Ice Arena.
THE BASICS:

Records: Greyhounds (4-6-1. 4-2-1 NEWHA) | Skyhawks (5-3-1, 5-1-1 NEWHA)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Stonehill was the first team to get on the board, as Maddison Achtyl scored halfway through the first period. The Skyhawks doubled their lead in the final minute of the opening frame, as Makenna Slocum lit the lamp.
In the second period, Lily Geist pushed the hosts' lead to 3-0 before
Sasha Marino put Assumption on the board, as she recorded her first collegiate goal at the 13:55 marker of the second period, making it 3-1. Stonehill added a power play goal late in the middle frame to go up 4-1. In the third period, the Greyhounds were buzzing, as they outshot the Skyhawks 30-11, and had four power play attempts, but would not be able to beat the Stonehill netminder.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Jadyn Weiser recorded 27 saves in the loss.
- Assumption had the slight edge in total shots, while it was the Skyhawks who had 31 shots on goal, while the Hounds had 30.
- The two teams split the 50 faceoffs, while it was Stonehill that went 1-for-4 on the power play, and Assumption was scoreless on five chances.
- Stonehill still leads the all-time series 6-3-1.
