Field Hockey Faces Five NCAA Tournament Teams in 2026

WORCESTER, Mass. – Assumption University head field hockey coach Annie Lahey has announced the Greyhounds' 2026 schedule, a demanding slate that features five opponents that qualified for the 2025 NCAA Division II Championship as the program looks to earn its seventh consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance.

The season begins with a challenging opening weekend in Pennsylvania as the Greyhounds travel to face national powers West Chester on Sept. 4 and East Stroudsburg on Sept. 6. Assumption then returns home to Brian Kelly '83 Stadium to host Millersville on Sept. 11 and Kutztown on Sept. 13, giving the Greyhounds four consecutive contests against NCAA Tournament teams to open the season.

Conference play begins on Sept. 23 when Assumption hosts Bentley, the fifth NCAA Tournament team on the schedule, before traveling to Southern Connecticut State two days later. The Greyhounds continue Northeast-10 play with home-and-home series against Bentley, Franklin Pierce, Saint Anselm, Southern New Hampshire, and Southern Connecticut State, while also hosting Adelphi, American International, and Saint Michael's.

Assumption closes the regular season at home against Southern Connecticut State on Nov. 7 before the Northeast 10 Championship. The Northeast 10 Conference Tournament will begin on Nov. 10th before the Semifinals on Nov. 13, and the Championship game on Nov. 15.
