WORCESTER, Mass. – The Assumption University swimming and diving team wrapped up the first day of the Northeast-10 Conference Championships Thursday evening at the WPI Sports & Recreation Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Assumption University Women's 800 yd Freestyle Relay started as the combination of
Jenna Swist, Bella Smith,
Caroline McKay, and
Sophia Lake dropped 22.08 seconds from their seed time to finish fourth with a final time of 8:02.18. The Men's 800 yd Freestyle Relay also shaved time off their seed time, as
Chris Fahlman,
Austin Hyer,
Sean Leary, and Brady Hale finished sixth at 7:23.18.
In the 1000 yd Freestyle,
Emma Kates (11:25.33) was the top finisher on the women's side, while Brady Hale (10:28.82) took 14
th on the men's side.
